“In the Permian Basin,” observed Bobby Burns, president and CEO of the Midland Chamber of Commerce, “we’re all generally aware the oil and gas industry impacts our economy. It is also the driving force of the Texas economy and a case could be made it is the driving force of the U.S. economy.”
In keeping with the chamber’s mission of making Midland’s business environment “the best in the world and to do that, backing our core business, which is oil and gas,” the chamber has launched a grassroots effort to raise awareness of and create support for the industry called “My Town, My Job, My Voice.”
